'EVENING IN TUSCANY' RAISES FUNDS FOR SENIORS

The Greater Glendale Council on Aging will sponsor the second annual "Evening in Tuscany" fundraiser from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. April 18 at the Civic Auditorium in Glendale.

This year's event features Italian food donated by Glendale restaurants, fine wines by Goudas and Vines in Montrose and music by Elliot G. and His Italian Vagabonds.

Last year, more than 200 people dined on Italian pasta, sipped Italian wine and swayed to Elliot's rendition of "O Sole Mio." All proceeds from the $30 cost of a ticket and money collected from raffles and a silent auction will go to the council's foundation to provide small grants to seniors in emergency situations.

For reservations, call (818) 953-4445.

The council's goal is to raise and disseminate funds to needy seniors in Glendale and to promote positive aging while funding the unmet critical needs of our seniors who cannot afford them.
