COLLECTION FOR TROOPS
Alternate Councilman Frank Beyt urged residents to donate a variety items to U.S. service men and women stationed in Afghanistan.
The collection is part of an authorized shipment by the U.S. government. Items in demand include: sunscreen, lip balm, wet wipes, batteries, cold medicine, duct tape, Listerine, hard candy, digital watches and compasses.
The items are in short supply and difficult to obtain in Afghanistan, Beyt said.
