On Wednesday, April 25, San Gabriel Valley Habitat for Humanity will be hosting a fundraiser at Rocky Cola Café in Montrose. The fundraiser, called "Comfort Fare with a '50's Flair," will be taking place all day long, and San Gabriel Valley Habitat for Humanity invites everyone to partake in a delicious day of breakfast, lunch and dinner at the signature family dining establishment.
The current fundraising efforts are part of San Gabriel Valley Habitat for Humanity's "Women's Build Team" effort to eliminate substandard housing from their service area while making decent shelter a matter of conscience and action. A percentage of the day's receipts will be donated to the "11 x 11 Campaign," which focuses specifically on developing an 11-unit ownership housing condominium project on Kenwood Street and Glendale to benefit 11 local families.
San Gabriel Valley Habitat for Humanity also hopes that the fundraiser event will raise awareness among other local merchants and residents to the opportunities for participation in their endeavor.
