The monthly mixer for the Crescenta Valley Chamber of Commerce was a co-operative effort with the Crescenta Valley Water District and Allied Waste Systems. The mixer was held Wednesday night, May 9 and at the water district offices.
Highlights of the evening included the presentation of Business of the Month certificates to both companies.
The combined hosts of the May mixer welcomed several members of the community in the perfect weather, garden-setting of the water district.
Susanne Pasantino, district manager for Allied Waste Systems, spoke on the special free pick up Allied will be doing in June for bulky items. Residents will be notified of which days this service will be offered. Dennis Erdman, general manager of Crescenta Valley Water District, spoke on conserving water and inviting everyone to the water district's open house and barbeque at the Glenwood Water Treatment Plant on May 19.
