Saturday, May 5

Honolulu Ave and Sunset Ave

a 47-year-old Tujunga woman was stopped during a random Glendale police check point. She provided false information of her identity and was later found to be driving on a suspended license. She was also arrested on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance.

someone entered a woman’s unlocked vehicle while it was parked in the Marshall’s parking lot and stole her wallet.

police responded to a fight in progress. When they arrived they found an injured man who had a large amount of blood coming from a head wound. Two other men were crouched down attempting to render him aid. The two men were allegedly involved in the fight. The officer attempted to render aid, however a 36-year-old La Crescenta man helped the injured man up and placed him in a vehicle, against the police officer’s request. The officer did not respond until the injured man was in the vehicle, and at that point one officer assisted the injured man and the 36-year-old man was arrested with unlawful obstruction and delay to an officer in an investigation and attempted removal of a victim of a felony assault from a crime scene.

2621 Honolulu Ave., LCR

police responded to loud music coming from a business that had permits for serving cold food and having tables and chairs outside on the patio area. Police found a D.J. performing in the building and a rapper was scheduled for later that day. The owner, a 21-year-old Glendale man, was cited for not having the proper permits.

Tip of the Week: Be wary of individuals who come to your home unsolicited and ask to look around your property to give you estimates for repair work. It is often used as a distraction while one or more additional suspects enter your home and steal valuables….
