"I was just waiting for an inside pitch and [the pitcher] gave it to me," said Kirker, who finished with four RBIs. "It's what I wanted."

No Falcon even tallied more than one hit, but nine Falcons reached base on either hits or walks.

Caitlyn Cox reached base on an error, stole third and scored on another error in the third to make it 7-0.

Two more runs came across in the fourth, one in the fifth and two in the sixth when Viers-Gordillo sent a shot to right field and the Hawks fielder misjudged it, ran back and dropped a leaping catch.

"It was a good team effort," Cancelosi said.

The Falcons will need another one on Tuesday when they face Freeway League champion Fullerton, a 3-2 winner over Elsinore, on Tuesday at a site to be determined.

"We have a lot of confidence [right now]," Cancilosi said. "This was a great game, we're a good team.

"We've really come together as a team."
