Dining Out:The place for classic Italian

To make up for any hint that Victorio's lasagna was better than Mom's, I picked up lunch for us the other day. The soft, fresh bread combined with well-seasoned meatballs and sauce and fresh mozzarella cheese made an almost perfect meatball sandwich. We split the Roberto's Pasta Salad packed with rotelli pasta, vegetables and cheese and still had plenty left over.

Mom also loved the homemade cannoli, with its crispy shell stuffed with sweet ricotta cheese and chocolate chips.

After a long, hard day, nothing can compare with a big plate of homemade pasta, a tall soda and watching the Yankees take the lead in the ninth inning. Take home an order of those mozzarella sticks or a homemade cannoli. They make a perfect midnight snack.
