"Summer Show: Carlos Mollura, Chris Nichols" will open with a reception from 4 to 7 p.m. in the Glendale Community College Art Gallery in the Library Building, 1500 N. Verdugo Road, Glendale. Mollura has made a tri-colored, partially transparent, inflated plastic sculpture. Nichols will exhibit sculptures made by combining found objects. Admission is free. Don Giovanni — An Opera in Two Acts will be presented by Talea Opera and Jacqueline Mahoney at 7 p.m. at the First German United Methodist Church, 556 W. Glenoaks Blvd., Glendale. The performance is a concert version with piano accompaniment. The music was composed by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart with libretto by Lorenzo da Ponte. Tickets are $12.50 in advance and $15 at the door.
