Glendale Softball Summer Camp

The Glendale Softball Summer Program will be held from 3 to 6 p.m. Mondays through Thursday from June 25 through July 25 at Glendale High School's softball field, 1440 E. Broadway, Glendale.

The program is open for all Glendale students and incoming freshmen.

Fundamentals regarding hitting and defense will be learned.

Glendale High junior varsity softball Coach Nicole Drabecki will instruct the classes.

Bring a glove and cleats.

Boys and girls water polo players sought

A Santa Clarita Valley-based age group water polo club is seeking boys and girls between the ages of 11-13.

The club is run by Crescenta Valley High School girls' Athletic Director Pete Loporchio.

Glendale High Golf Tournament set

The Glendale High School Golf Tournament will take place at 1 p.m. Thursday at Angeles National Golf Club, 9401 Foothill Blvd., Sunland.

Lunch and range balls will be provided from 11:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. with a four-man scramble set to begin at 1 p.m.

The cost is $150 per person with the proceeds going to Glendale High school athletics.

Annual Falcon Cheer Camp set for June

The ninth annual Falcon Cheer Camp will run from 9 a.m. to noon June 25-29 at Crescenta Valley High's gymnasium, 2900 Community Drive, La Crescenta.

The camp is geared for children ages 5-14.

Cheer, dance, song and flag skills will be taught. All campers will receive T-shirts, team pictures, trophies and more.

Soccer camp to be held in early July

The Los Angeles Futbol Club will conduct a Coerver-style Soccer Day Camp from July 2-6 at La Canada High School, 4463 Oak Grove Drive, La Cañada Flintridge.
