On Friday evening, June 15, the Crescenta Valley High Drama Department held its annual drama banquet in the CVHS cafeteria.

Drama teachers R. Brent Beerman and Kathi Chaplar hosted the event that recognizes graduating seniors involved in the program, some for all four years of high school.

Beerman and Chaplar presented "Falcon Oscars" to the senior standouts as voted on by the drama class for acting, directing and "techie" work.

Some awardees included Matt Goldsworthy for Best Comedian, Michael Workman for Best Dramatic Performance, Kyle Ryan for Best Actor, and Sabrina Walentynowicz for Best Actress.

After the dinner was served and awards were given, James M. Garren presented a slide show to the thespians of their work.

Over the last few weeks, Garren has been working on the slide show with pictures that the seniors had given to him that he cleverly weaved together as a salute to the last four years of drama class and performance.

Overall, the banquet was a huge success.
