Many thanks to Historian Liz Schetina and parents Chris and Kelley Ryder for a fabulous year-in-review slide show, and to Vice President Maria Bonino-Britsch for hosting the Slide Show Family Night.

LINCOLN ELEMENTARY

The sixth-grade class was bid a fond farewell at the promotion ceremony on June 19 and at the annual "Teachers Versus Sixth- Graders Softball Game" on June 20.

During the summer months, parents are encouraged to check the school's website at golincolnlions.org for ideas to keep children reading.

Incoming kindergarteners and their parents should plan on attending the orientation at 3 p.m. Aug. 31 in the cafetorium.

LA CRESCENTA ELEMENTARY

A check for $14,000 was donated to the school on behalf of the PTA by President Pati Pineiro-Goodenberger. Many successful fundraisers made this generous contribution possible and funds will be used for student programs.

Resource specialist teacher Marianna Crider is retiring and moving to Montana. Teacher Rosabel Kim has accepted a teacher specialist position at Mountain Avenue and Lincoln elementary schools.

These special individuals will be missed for their creativity, sense of humor and dedication to La Crescenta Elementary.

Volunteers are needed for the Meet the Masters Program for next year. Please call the school office if you are interested in chairing this worthwhile program.

ROSEMONT MIDDLE

Eighth-grade promotion was held on last Thursday — a memorable morning for parents and students alike. Best wishes to students as they move on to high school.
