Dearest friends and citizens of Glendale, I don't know the legal definition of extortion in this state, but there is no doubt that I have been victimized by my neighbors, who allege that my family is using our home at 702 E. Glenoaks Blvd. illegally as a business.
I have been a good citizen of my city for more than 25 years. The way our neighbors invaded our privacy is not fair to us. If my friend visits me, they think she is a customer and take pictures; if my housekeeper comes and cleans my house, they take pictures. The gardener comes, they take pictures; and they took pictures when I was remodeling the house, and used it against me when I was applying for a Home Occupation Permit, which the city denied.
They took pictures when I was moving into the house; they used them against me to argue that there are so many trucks. They scared my 16-year-old son while he was studying at home alone. He turns around at night and he sees them taking pictures. They even stopped my friends and told them that we are bad people.
