Chamber to honor longtime members
The Montrose Verdugo City Chamber of Commerce will host its member and scholarship awards mixer from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday at Jenkins Property Management, 2626 Honolulu Ave., in Montrose.
The event will feature food, refreshments and an award ceremony honoring area students and five-, 10-, 15-, 20- and 25-year members of the organization.
The event is $5 for members and $7 or nonmembers.

Resident notches consulting position
Glendale resident Cynthia Johnson has become a consultant with Tastefully Simple Inc., a national direct-sales company specializing in easy-to-prepare food products, the company announced this week.
As a consultant, Johnson will present the company's foods, beverages and recipes to guests at home tasting parties.
