LA CRESCENTA ELEMENTARY
All new students and their parents are invited to New Family Orientation at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday in the auditorium.
Principal Kim Bishop, PTA President Pati Pineiro-Goodenberger and foundation co-presidents Carole Mulder and Gail Richardson will be on hand to supply parents with information needed for the 2007-08 school year.
Staff and students are celebrating their much higher California Standardized Test scores, especially the fact that the science scores were the highest in the district.
MOUNTAIN AVENUE ELEMENTARY
Rebecca Witt has been selected as the school’s new principal. She served as principal in Pasadena Unified School District and believes that it is critical to build relationships with community and staff in a respectful, open, flexible and collaborative manner.
The day to be at school is this Friday. Kindergarten walk-through begins at 3 p.m., and all new families are then encouraged to attend New Family Orientation at 4 p.m. in the cafeteria. Class lists will be posted in front of the school between 6 and 7 p.m.
Families will have the opportunity to sign up for activities at the Howdy Coffee at 8:30 a.m. Sept. 4 in the cafeteria.
FREMONT ELEMENTARY
Enjoy refreshments from the PTA at the upcoming kindergarten orientation at 3:30 p.m. Thursday in the auditorium.
The Howdy Coffee is at 8:15 a.m. Sept. 4 in the auditorium. Attendees can be part of the first PTA meeting, purchase spirit wear, sign up to volunteer and join the PTA.
The Welcome Back Bears Family Picnic begins at 6 p.m. Sept. 7 in the upper field. Bring your own picnic dinner and a dessert to share. PTA will provide the drinks.
The gift-wrap fundraiser runs Sept. 13 to 28 under the direction of Raquel Rodriguez-Wright, Terry Musso and Vicki Gabor.
