California Landscapes On display through Sept. 30. The Theodore Payne Foundation Gallery presents “California Landscapes,” an exhibition of oil paintings in the plein air style depicting the beauty and diversity of California as interpreted by four local artists: Margot Lennartz of La Crescenta, Kendra Page of Glendale, Liz Reday of South Pasadena and Laura Wambsgans of Santa Clarita. TPF Gallery is part of the Theodore Payne Foundation for Wild Flowers and Native Plants and is located at 10459 Tuxford Street, Sun Valley. Trish KertesOn display through Sept. 13. A new exhibit at Descanso Gardens Art Gallery. She will be showing her recent collection of plein air and studio oil paintings. Trish’s subject matter is gathered from her many trips and her love of the local area. She is known for her colorful, inspiring works in oil on canvas. Also showing with Kertes is watercolorist Belinda Del Pesco and ceramist Rick Drobner. The Descanso Gardens gallery is open daily from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Artist will be available in the gallery to discuss her work with visitors. Custom Car Show On display through January. The machines of Chuck Barris are featured at the Wally Parks National Hot Rod Association Motorsports Museum. Chronicling more than 50 years of American motorsports history. Hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission to the museum is $6 for adults; $4 for seniors 60 and older and for ages 6-15, and free for ages under 5. Parking is at Gate 1 on McKinley Ave. Fairplex, 1101 W.
