October 12, 2007

Crescenta Valley students in Glendale Unified School District will not have class on Oct. 19. The day is a staff training day. Classes resume on Oct. 22.

Rosemont Middle School history teacher Lynn McGinnis is asking for the public’s help with their annual rummage sale. The sale, combined with an early morning pancake breakfast, is a fundraiser that helps history students with the cost of The American Freedom Tour. Titled, “Boston Birth of the Revolution” this year Rosemont students will spend their spring break in eastern Massachusetts to trace the history of the revolution. The rummage sale is one of the fundraisers that will help students offset the costs of over $2,000 per student.

Everyone is invited to join the students for the pancake breakfast and rummage sale on Nov. 3 from 7 a.m. to noon. Tickets for the fundraiser are $5. To purchase tickets or for information on how to donate contact Lynn McGinnis at (818) 248 4224 extension 1309 or email lmcginnis@gusd.net.
