Were you there? Have you heard? The 30th annual Oktoberfest was, again, a blast! The crowds poured in and a lot of familiar faces returned. The kids had so many choices in games and rides as the selection was much more inviting.

I would like to thank our sponsors for without them this event would not have been so successful! Our major sponsors were Montrose Travel and Ace Beverage. The platinum sponsors were the Valley Sun newspapers and the Glendale News Press. The gold sponsors were La Cañada Outlook, J’s Maintenance and Glenoaks Escrow. We appreciate having Mayor Najarian, Councilman John Drayman and Councilman Dave Weaver attending the event and speaking to the crowd.

Some things to put on your calendar are ArtWalk on Saturday, Nov. 10, and of course let’s not forget the Christmas Parade on Saturday, Dec. 1. Tell me it’s just a dream that the holidays are not upon us. No No No… oh sorry — I meant Ho. Ho. Ho…
