Tenor Daniel Chaney has a very busy season ahead.

In addition to singing in the St. George’s Episcopal Church Choir, Cheney will be a solo tenor on Oct. 28 at the 74th Annual Los Angeles Bach Festival at the First Congregational Church. He will also be solo tenor during concerts on Nov. 18 and Dec. 10 at the Walt Disney Concert Hall.

The Bach Festival began in 1933 and has grown to be a popular Los Angeles musical event.

On Nov. 18, Chaney will be tenor soloist for the Los Angeles Master Chorale performance of Andriessen/Haydn. The concert is a reflection on how war can influence music when it pairs Haydn’s Mass in the Time of War and God Protect Us From War by Veljo Tormis with the world premiere of Louis Andriessen’s “The City of Dis or: The Ship of Fools.”

On Dec. 10, Chaney will again be performing with the LA Master Chorale as tenor solo in the performance of “Messiah Sing-Along.” The popular concert allows the audience to join in the magic of the music in the celebrated Disney Music Center.

The performances have kept Chaney busy with rehearsals, but he seems to thrive on the challenge.

He said he is grateful for the work and loves the music he performs.
