Remember, if you become a member of the chamber, we offer a ribbon-cutting event at your place of business. We invite local legislator offices, our board of directors and send a press release to the newspapers.
Don’t forget to come and join us next week for our monthly mixer on Nov. 7. There has been a change in venue for November, so please mark your calendar. The mixer will be held at the Montrose-Verdugo City Chamber of Commerce, 3516 N. Verdugo Road, from 6 to 8 p.m. If you have never attended a mixer you should come and check it out. There will be some good food, great raffle gifts and some very nice people to meet who live and work in your community. Contact the chamber if you would like more information, or just to say, “I’ll be there.” Members pay $ 5; nonmembers pay $ 7.
On Nov. 10 the last ArtWalk for 2007 will be on the 2300 and 2400 blocks of Honolulu from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. To date, we have 38 vendors planning to display their work, so come and show your support for these talented people.
We only have one month left before our annual Christmas Parade on Dec. 1. If you are interested in volunteering or being in the parade, contact the chamber for details.
Remember, if you are not a member of the chamber you will not be included in the new 2008 directory, so pick up an application today or call and we will mail you one (extended to Nov. 9). New business members can save $ 25. Just call and ask us how.
If you don’t have a business but want to join the chamber, come join as a residential member and save $10.
