Bickering on Town Council

This year has seen an unusual amount of acrimony and even public bickering among the members of the Crescenta Valley Town Council.

While we value the contributions of experienced council members, we feel the community will benefit from an infusion of new blood to change the chemistry of the oft contentious group.

The Nov. 3 election affords the opportunity to “stir the pot” with some new council members.

After listening to candidates at the Oct. 18 council meeting and the Crescenta Valley Heritage sponsored candidate forum on Oct. 22, members of the C.V. Heritage Steering Committee, acting as individuals, have determined that the candidates whose positions most closely agree with our mission of preserving the architectural, cultural and natural historic resources of the Crescenta Valley are Elizabeth Arnold, Cheryl Davis and Susan Kilpatrick.

We urge all residents of unincorporated La Crescenta and Montrose to participate either by absentee ballot or by coming to the Career Center at Crescenta Valley High School on Nov. 3 between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. to cast their vote.

‘Axis of traitors’ want ‘AmeriKa’

There were two known elements within our borders working obsessively to turn America into AmeriKa. What the Russians couldn’t do externally is finding incremental success internally with the Soros machine and the ACLU. A third element has now joined forces with these two anti-American groups to form the Axis of Traitors.

Yes the Democrats’ passion for absolute power knows no boundaries. Look at their heroes, Fidel (do you ever hear any Democrat speak ill of Castro), Chavez (Fidel’s protégé in Venezuela), North Korea’s Mentally Ill (Clinton giving him nuclear technology), Chinese commies (Clinton campaign funds in exchange for Loral’s space technology secrets) and let’s not forget Uncle Joe Wilson. He, who was discredited in front of a Senate hearing as a bona fide liar, is now the poster boy for the La Cañada Democrat Club.
