CV Little League signups to take place

Registration for the 2008 Crescenta Valley Little League baseball and softball seasons will be held.

Signups will take place from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and noon to 5 p.m. Sunday at Montrose Park. Additional signups will be conducted Dec. 15, Jan. 5, Jan. 19 and Jan. 26.

The league is open to boys and girls ages 5-15 who reside in La Crescenta and La Cañada Flintridge.

Baseball camp to be held in December

The Crescenta Valley High baseball program will conduct a winter baseball camp from 9 a.m. to noon Dec. 27-28 at Stengel Field, 1500 N. Verdugo Road, Glendale.

The event will be spearheaded by Crescenta Valley Coach Phil Torres and his coaching staff. Pitching, hitting and fielding will be covered. The camp is geared for third through eighth graders.

The cost is $75 per person.
