CANDLELIGHT TOURS FEATURE VICTORIAN THEME

Visitors will gain a sense of how the holidays were celebrated during the Victorian era by joining in the festive Candlelight Tours at the Doctors’ House Museum in Brand Park, 1601 W. Mountain St., Glendale.

Docents will be giving tours from 6:30 to 8:30 tonight and Dec. 15 at the museum, which has been decorated for the season.

Ornaments will be offered for sale. Hot beverages and cookies will be served.

No reservations are needed.

VAN BLOEM SINGERS PERFORM HOLIDAY SHOWS

The busy Van Bloem Singers will perform at several locations in Glendale during the holiday season.

The group is completing its 12th season and has performed more than 300 shows for service clubs, retiree groups, volunteer organizations, charitable organizations and senior residences.

The singers will perform at 2 p.m. Dec. 17 at the First United Methodist Church of Glendale.

Programs range from 35 minutes to one hour and are tailored to each event.

HOLY FAMILY YOUTH CHOIR SINGS FOR CABRINI GUILD

The Cabrini Literary Guild will meet on Thursday at the Oakmont Country Club in Glendale.

This will be a Christmas luncheon featuring the Holy Family Children’s Concert Choir of Holy Family Church in Glendale.

The choir is directed by Tom Makiling, a music teacher at the school.

The meeting will be at 11 a.m followed by lunch served at noon. The program will begin at 1 p.m.
