MOMS club holds a preschool expo
The MOMS Club of the Foothills will host a Preschool Expo from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Jan. 19 at the Crescenta Valley Park Community Center at 3901 Dunsmore Ave. in La Crescenta.
The event will bring together representatives from many Crescenta Valley area preschools for parents to learn more about their preschool options in the region.
The event will also include a silent auction with prizes donated from local businesses and a children’s clothing sale with all pieces sold for $1 per item.

New mural, new year to be celebrated
Neighborhood Legal Services of Los Angeles County is set to unveil an original mural at its Glendale headquarters today.
The organization provides legal advocacy for low-income clients.
Legislative and legal community dignitaries are expected at the reception to celebrate the mural and the new year, including Glendale Mayor Ara Najarian, state Assemblymen Paul Krekorian and Anthony Portantino, and state Sen. Jack Scott.
The reception begins at 5:30 p.m. at the organization’s headquarters at 1104 E. Chevy Chase Drive.
