Tiger Scouts get some ‘Sun’

Members of Pack 314, Den 5 Tiger Scouts from St. James the Less Catholic School visited the offices of the Crescenta Valley Sun on Friday, Jan. 18.

Joining the pack were Camryn Christensen, a junior Girl Scout from troop 626 and Liam Molina, a Webelo, both from St. James also.

The group was visiting the Valley Sun to learn how people communicate by writing messages in newspapers. It is a part of achievement number 4, and will go toward earning their Tiger badge.

Members from Den 5 that were part of the visit included Curtis Yun and Cole Christensen, both 6, and Gavin Lundin, Aedan Molina, and Stephen Burkhart, all 7 years old. Leader Melinda Burkhart and several supportive parents accompanied them.

Following their visit to the Valley Sun offices, the Tigers are getting their cars ready for the annual Pinewood Derby competition that will be held at St. James Hall on Saturday, Jan. 26.
