Real estate seminar postponed

A real estate workshop previously scheduled for today at the Glendale Adult Recreation Center has been postponed.

The event, which will offer advice to prospective home buyers navigating the turbulent real estate market, is now slated for 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Feb. 10 at the Glendale Adult Recreation Center, 201 E. Colorado St.

The fee for materials and lunch is $10. RSVP by calling (800) 974-4484 or e-mail chrism@twmc.net. Guests are encouraged to bring a pocket calculator.

Nominations for ‘Jewel’ underway

The Glendale Commission on the Status of Women is accepting nominations for the 2008 “Jewel of Glendale” award.

The award recognizes exemplary women of Glendale who have made significant accomplishments and overcome challenges.

Winners will be recognized at the 2008 Jewel of Glendale Awards at 11:30 a.m. March 27 at the Oakmont Country Club.
