Montrose-Verdugo City Chamber of Commerce:

Member news, spring cleaning

March 21, 2008

The Chamber enjoyed a ribbon cutting last Tuesday with a new member. Fix Wellness Center is located at 3600 Oceanview Blvd. in Montrose. It’s a little tricky to see from the street but they are right below the Oven Fresh bakery. We had legislative representatives from Sen. Bob Margett, Sen. Jack Scott, Assemblyman Paul Krekorian and Supervisor Michael Antonovich’s offices. We also had our own board of directors in attendance. The food was delicious and the office is quite nice inside. Call them today at (818) 248-9575 and find out how they can FIX your wellness.

Make sure you attend our dual mixer on April 2 at Century 21 Crest with the Crescenta Valley Chamber of Commerce.

The Montrose–Verdugo City of Commerce is looking for bowlers. If you are looking for some fun on a Monday evening (April 7), sign up to bowl.

And… if you can’t bowl we have other opportunities for you:

Golf Classic on April 24 at the Verdugo Hills Golf Course; shotgun at 1 p.m.

If you don’t bowl or golf, how about becoming a volunteer for Oktoberfest? We would love to hear from you. 2008 Oktoberfest supporters include Robbin’s Nest Preschool, New Moon Restaurant and S.I.G. Property Management.

The Chamber can be reached by telephone at (818) 249-7171 or by e-mail mvcc@montrosechamber.org. The office is open Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. and on Friday from 9 a.m. until noon.

Feel free to stop by the Chamber office as we have lots of great information.

Words from your president, Stuart Perlitsh

Every year we hear talk of spring cleaning. Spring cleaning is a ritual that feels good. Why not take it one step further and clean the cobwebs from the corners of our homes and our personal lives? With the backdrop of clear skies and blooming flowers, it is a good time to think positively. What about new attitudes to embrace as we throw out the old, tired attitudes? What windows in our minds need cleaning to help us see more clearly? Are there relationships, both personal and business, we’d like to improve? Are there new skills we would like to learn?
