Under the heading of cultural pursuits in the local paper, it was noted that the Children’s Theatre of the Pasadena Playhouse would be staging “Tom Sawyer” in the Crescenta Valley High School Auditorium. Sponsoring the production was the Juniors section of the Glendale branch of the American Assn. of University Women.

For the eighth year in a row, Paola Oldsmobile of La Crescenta entered a car in the Mobilgas Economy Run from Los Angeles to Galveston, Texas. Driver of the 1958 Olds 88 was Lincoln Paola, brother of the car agency’s owner.
