168 Hour Film Festival continues from 10 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. at the Alex Theatre, 216 N. Brand Blvd., Glendale. Aspiring filmmakers have randomly selected a Bible verse and are given 168 hours or one week to make a film based on the verse. Once Upon a Time Bookstore, 2207 Honolulu Ave., Montrose, will have a Teddy Bear Picnic celebrating one of its favorite bears, Corduroy, and his 40th year in publishing. The event will be co-hosted at 1 p.m. with Tender Treasures, 2282 Honolulu Ave., Montrose, and will include stories, crafts, a game and a parade down to Tender Treasures. Reservations are required. The Doctors’ House will have a new exhibit on the Spanish Influenza from 2 to 4 p.m. through the last Sunday in May. The exhibit addresses the effects of the 1918 flu on the residents of the house at that time. The display will include clippings from the Glendale Evening News. Glendale Community Concerts present the Gary Bonner Singers who will perform music by American composers including folk songs, Broadway tunes, patriotic selections and music from famous movie musicals at 2:30 p.m. at Glendale High School Auditorium, 1440 W.
