PASSOVER CELEBRATED AT TEMPLE SINAI OF GLENDALE
Temple Sinai of Glendale’s congregation will join Jewish people around the world at sundown on April 19 in celebrating Passover, the holiday commemorating the biblical story from the Book of Exodus that describes the escape of the ancient Hebrews from Egyptian slavery via the parting of the Red Sea.
The Passover story teaches the world that God is deeply concerned with the affairs of humanity, said Rabbi Rick Schechter, Temple Sinai of Glendale’s religious leader.
Temple Sinai of Glendale continues its tradition of hosting a community Seder on the second night of Passover, this year at 6 p.m. April 20.
Along with a retelling of the story of the Jewish liberation, a traditional meal of Passover wine and foods, including matzo ball soup, will be served.
A sellout every year, tickets must be purchased in advance. Call (818) 246-8101 for more information.
