BOYS’ SWIMMING

Crescenta Valley 129, Hoover 34: Tristan Winterhalter was a double-winner for the Falcons in a home Pacific League meet on Friday, taking first place in the 200-yard freestyle (1 minute, 57.32 seconds) and the 100 freestyle (53.24).

Andrew De Jong won the 100 breaststroke in 1:10.72.

The Falcons will next compete in another league home meet at 3:15 p.m. April 23 against rival Arcadia.

GIRLS’ SWIMMING

Crescenta Valley 125, Hoover 39: Behind double-winners Yumi So and Christine Cho, the Falcons defeated the Tornadoes in a home Pacific League meet on Friday.

So won the 200-yard individual medley in 2 minutes, 10.01 seconds and the 500 freestyle in 5:07.02, while Cho won the 200 freestyle in 2:14.53 and the 100 freestyle in 58.56.

Ani Nalbandian delivered a win the 100 butterfly (1:09.30) for Crescenta Valley.

The Falcons will next compete in another league home meet at 3:15 p.m. April 23 against rival Arcadia.

BASEBALL

Burbank 4, Glendale 2: The Nitros’ record fell to 4-12 on the season and 2-6 in Pacific League play with a home loss to the Bulldogs (7-10-1, 3-4 in league) on Friday.

The Nitros will next play in another league contest at 7 p.m. April 22 against Crescenta Valley at Stengel Field.

Chaminade 5, St. Francis 4: Ramiro Carreon hit his fifth home run of the year and Mike Dean homered for the first time this season, but the Golden Knights (12-6, 2-4 in league) couldn’t avoid a Mission League loss at Chaminade (8-11, 1-5) on Friday.

Chris Sember took the loss for St. Francis, but was hampered by three unearned runs early in the game. The Golden Knights will next play a home doubleheader against Bishop Amat at 11 a.m. today at Pasadena’s Jackie Robinson Field.

BOYS’ TENNIS

Chadwick 16, Flintridge Prep 2: Alex Wood and Eric Kazangian each won a singles set Friday for the visiting Rebels (4-8, 0-3 in Prep League) in a league match at Peninsula Racquet Club.

The Rebels suffered a 15-3 nonleague loss to South Pasadena on Thursday. Kazangian captured two singles wins for the Rebels, who got a doubles win from John Lee and Reza Gheissari.
