MOTHER GOOSE THEME CHARMS LEAGUE MEMBERS

Members of the Assistance League of Glendale were treated to a high tea under the theme “The World of Mother Goose” on March 27 at the League Center, 314 E. Harvard St., where the Thrift Alley is also located.

Coordinating the high tea were co-chairwoman Sally Benson with Ginger Dotson, who provided tea sandwiches and desserts.

Sylvia Kowal designed the flier for this event and served as the contact person for collection of responses to tea invitations plus providing all guests with Mother Goose cookbooks of the day’s recipes. The League Center was adorned in homemade flowered tablecloths made by Benson and flower arrangements. Punch was served on the center patio where members, both past and present, greeted league auxiliaries and guests.
