Where is the “care” for this so-called “Shelter Plus Care” program?
Where is the responsibility of those administering this program?

TV show would give unfair advantage
I noticed on the Glendale City Council meeting report for May 13 that staff members are recommending adding a program on Channel 6, whereby a member of the City Council will be able to respond to questions from the public (“Mayor angles for TV time,” Monday).
I do not know all the particulars and limitations of this proposal, but I am concerned about City Council candidates using this TV forum for free political advertisement.
We know that running for any political office is expensive, especially the cost of television exposure.
Allowing City Council members running for re-election to be on TV to answer questions from the public gives them an unfair advantage against other candidates.
In addition, I do not believe the taxpayers should pay for this free advertisement for any candidate or political person.
Please consider all the ramifications, which can result in allowing this free exposure to City Council members in this friendly type of forum. They receive enough exposure being on the City Council.
There was a good reason why this was forbidden in the past. Why go down this slippery slope again?
There must be a less political way for the city of Glendale to respond to the public’s questions on TV.
Basically, this may be a good idea, but no politics please.

Atheist view belongs back on Faith page
I am writing to request that the Glendale News-Press reinstate Sharon Weisman, a local atheist, as a contributor for the weekly “In Theory” feature on the Faith page.
An opinion from an atheist is especially interesting for the many In Theory questions that involve interaction between religion and government.
