Summer Concert series will host a performance by ’80s group, Area 80’s, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the north end of Verdugo Park, 1621 Cañada Blvd., Glendale. The community is invited to bring a picnic dinner, folding chairs or blankets for seating. Admission and parking are free. Grammy nominated En Vogue and Gabby Wilson will kick of a series of free concerts at 8 p.m. at The Americana at Brand. Ali Landry, former Miss USA, is the host. En Vogue performs R&B hits from the more than 20 million albums and singles they have sold worldwide. Opening for the group is 10-year-old child prodigy Gabby Wilson, who, at 8, was voted “California’s Most Talented Kid.” The concert will be hosted by Ali Landry, former Miss USA, model and actress.

Pasadena Humane Society and SPCA will sponsor Wine and Cheese Yappie Hour, an event to learn about the 10th Annual Wiggle Waggle Walk, from 6 to 8 p.m. in the North Building at 361 S. Raymond, Pasadena. Complimentary wine and cheese will be served, and the event will include a short slide show of previous walks, information on setting up your personal website, forming teams and gaining tools to effectively raise money to help the animals.
