News from the Montrose–Verdugo City Chamber of Commerce:

Summer days are ending

August 29, 2008

Well, here we are at the last three-day weekend of the summer. Wow, summer went by fast, like it always does (more so as I get older). I love summer, going to the beach, barbecuing and sunshine every day; it’s the best! Whatever you do over the Labor Day weekend, relax, enjoy, have fun and be safe.

A big “thank you” to the Dunaway Group at Broadview Realty for providing a delicious breakfast at our August board meeting. It was so gracious of you and we really appreciated it.

Free admission: Attend the Foothills Community Business Expo on Wednesday, Sept. 10 at the Verdugo Hills Hospital. Come and meet area merchants and organizations in the community. There will be food, entertainment, prizes and drawings. The event opens at 5 p.m. and continues until 8 p.m.
