Larry Zarian to host political club leaders

The presidents of the local Democratic and Republican clubs will appear live Thursday on “The Larry Zarian Show” to discuss the presidential election and state ballot measures.

Nearly the entire local delegation — all Democrats — to Sacramento and Washington is up for reelection or being termed out of office Nov. 4. State Assemblymen Anthony Portantino and Paul Krekorian, whose districts include Glendale and the foothills, are seeking reelection, while state Sen. Jack Scott is being termed out, leaving that seat up for grabs between former Assemblywoman Carol Liu, a Democrat, and Republican Teddy Choi.

U.S. Reps. Brad Sherman and Adam Schiff, both Democrats, are facing Republican challengers whose campaigns have struggled to gain traction.

The show airs at 6:30 p.m. on Channel 280. The live call-in number is (818) 547-3668.
