GIRLS’ TENNIS

Crescenta Valley 11, Burbank 7: The Pacific League champions continued their undefeated run through league with Tuesday’s victory at Burbank High over the third-place Bulldogs.

The doubles tandem of Anna Kim and Courtney Pietsch swept 6-3, 7-6 (7-2), 6-1 and singles player Erin Levoir swept, as well, 6-2, 6-0, 6-0.

The doubles team of Kay Lee and Tenny Soleymani won two sets, 7-5, 7-5, as the Falcons, ranked sixth in CIF Southern Section Division II, improved to 16-1 overall and 12-0 in league.

Sherman Oaks Notre Dame 13, Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy 5: Emily Katz won a pair of singles sets for the Tologs (4-8, 1-6 in Mission League) in a league road match Tuesday at Braemer Country Club. Shalyn Stanley won a set in singles for the Tologs.

WOMEN’S VOLLEYBALL

Glendale Community College 3, West Los Angeles College 0: Aya Nakano had a team-high 12 kills, 10 digs and five service aces on Friday to spark the Vaqueros to a 25-10, 25-16, 25-16 Western State Conference victory.

Beverly Gonzales had 24 assists for the Vaqueros, who got five aces apiece from Isabelle Carter and Ashliy Veliz.

Glendale college (6-9, 1-4 in conference) started the week Oct. 21 with a 25-13, 25-12, 26-24 conference loss to Bakersfield College.

MEN’S SOCCER

Glendale Community College 2, L.A. Mission College 2: Glendale college closed out the week Friday with a tie in a Western State Conference contest.

The Vaqueros (7-7-3, 4-2-2 in conference) started the week with a 1-0 conference win against Allan Hancock College on Oct. 21.

WOMEN’S SOCCER

Citrus College 1, Glendale Community College 0: The Vaqueros ended their week Friday with a Western State Conference loss. Glendale college (6-6-4, 3-3-2 in conference) began its week Oct. 21 with a 1-1 conference tie against Bakersfield College.
