Phantom of the Opera Previews Jan. 21 & 22, opens Jan. 23 for a five week limited engagement, concludes Feb. 21. Andrew Lloyd Weber’s, “The Phantom Of The Opera,” directed by Harold Prince, will return for the first time to the Pantages Theatre in Hollywood in over a decade. This engagement of “Phantom” also marks the opening of Broadway/L.A.’s 2009 Season at the Pantages Theatre, where Wicked has been in residence for the past two years.

Minsky’sFeb. 9. A big, racy, romantic musical comedy set in Depression Era New York City. The king of burlesque himself, Billy Minsky (Christopher Fitzgerald), reigns over the rollicking backstage world of “Minsky’s” where profit margins are as skimpy as the costumes. This original musical brings back a golden era of theatre.

Man Of La Mancha Feb. 14 to March 1, Saturday, Feb. 14 at 2 and 8 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 15 at 7 p.m. Tuesday through Friday at 8 p.m., Saturdays at 2 and 8 p.m. Sundays at 2 & 7 p.m. The Reprise Theatre Company presents “Man of La Mancha,” starring Brent Spiner as Cervantes/Quixote. Julia Migenes, the renowned opera and theatre performer, will play Aldonza/Dulcinea; Valerie Perri will play the role of Aldonza/Dulcinea at matinee performances; and Tony nominee Lee Wilkof will play Sancho Panza.

The Freud Playhouse at UCLA is conveniently located in Macgowan Hall. Tickets $60 to $70.
