MEN’S BASKETBALL

Glendale Community College 79, Santa Monica City College 73: Josh Guillory finished with 26 points, 14 rebounds, six assists and three steals Wednesday to lead the visiting Vaqueros in a Western State Southern Division contest.

Lucian Franklin contributed 16 points and seven rebounds for Glendale college (8-12, 1-2 in the division). Peter Newell contributed 13 points and a team-high five steals for the Vaqueros, who snapped a four-game losing skid and will next face power Citrus College in a divisional home game at 5 p.m. Wednesday.

WOMEN’S BASKETBALL

Glendale Community College 72, Santa Monica City College 67: The visiting Vaqueros won their second game in a row Wednesday in a Western State Conference Southern Divisional contest.

Glendale college (12-9, 2-1 in the division) will next face visiting Citrus College in a divisional home game at 7 p.m. Wednesday.

Crescenta Valley 3, Burroughs 3: The host Falcons improved to 3-5-4 and 1-1-3 in the Pacific League on Wednesday following a league deadlock against the defending league champion.

GIRLS’ SOCCER

Crescenta Valley 2, Burroughs 0: Brittany Berger and Olivia Sierra scored goals for the Falcons on Wednesday as the Falcons improved to 8-1-4 overall and 5-0 in the Pacific League.

Jordan Royer assisted on Berger’s first-half goal.

Arcadia 4, Hoover 0: The visiting Tornadoes (3-7, 1- in Pacific League) fell Wednesday in a league match.
