History is coming alive at museum

The Forest Lawn Museum will host a History Comes Alive performance series titled “A Visit with Great Presidents” beginning at 9:30 and 11 a.m. Wednesday.

The performances will be held in the Hall of Liberty at Forest Lawn-Hollywood Hills, located at 6300 Forest Lawn Drive, Los Angeles.

The performance will show at the same times on Thursday.

Workshop aimed at small-business owners

The Business Advantage Network chapter of Business Networking International will host a free business workshop Wednesday to help small-business owners raise their visibility in the community and attract new clients.

The workshop, called “How to gain immediate attention for your business,” will feature a panel of seven speakers who will talk about boosting business in today’s economy.

The event will be held from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at Marie Callender’s, 707 N. Pacific Ave.

Montrose chamber to host a mixer

The Montrose-Verdugo City Chamber of Commerce, along with the Crescenta Valley Chamber of Commerce, will hold a mixer on Feb. 11.

The mixer will be hosted by Crescenta Valley Insurance, at 3923 Foothill Blvd. in La Crescenta.

The event is free and will go from 6 to 8 p.m.

Attendees will benefit from networking opportunities, business literature and will also be able to enjoy food and refreshments.
