Twilight Night: Star Gazers and Planet Hunters — April 3, the Museum opens its door from 5 p.m. – 8 p.m. Award-winning planetary astronomer Dr. Mike Brown, the man responsible for the reclassification of Pluto to “dwarf planet,” is the guest of honor at Kidspace Children’s Museum’s first Twilight Night event of 2009, admission is $5.
Brown will be hosting two astronomy presentations for kids and families, taking guests on a tour of the night sky at the Kidspace Star Station Planetarium. Afterward, Brown will move to the outdoor amphitheater for a reading from “The Planet Hunter: The Story Behind What Happened to Pluto,” a children’s book chronicling his life and scientific discoveries.
