Plant Sale — April 24, 25 and 26, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Descanso Gardens, 1418 Descanso Dr., La Cañada. Search among a wide range of outdoor and indoor plants that may include palms, clivia, ficus, impatiens, ivy, parrot’s beak, perennials and assorted garden treasures.

Hometown Country Fair — April 24 & 25, Friday, starts at 3 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Crescenta Valley Park is the location of this two-day community event hosted by the Crescenta Valley Chamber of Commerce.
The fair will feature carnival rides, food and live entertainment. There will also be a car show, crafter booths and games. Free admission both days. The park is located at 3901 Dunsmore Ave., La Crescenta.

The Time Machine — April 25, at 2 & 8 p.m. The classic film starring Rod Taylor, Yvette Mimieux and Alan Young, plus on stage filmmaker and science fiction writer Paul Davids.
