Crescenta Valley track and field showed up at Mt. San Antonio College this past weekend looking for some high places.
Senior Zack Torres didn’t disappoint, taking third place in the boys’ 1600 meters with a time of four minutes, 14.51 seconds, less than a second behind second place Carl Roberson of LeDuc, Canada (4:14.32) and Collin Jarvis of Rancho Buena Vista, Calif. (4:14.19).
In the open high jump, CV freshman Andrew Roide came in fourth place at 6-4.
Girls’ sprint medley relay (200 meters-200-400-800), featuring Carli Opland, Kira Guarino, Tiernan Hebron and Marisa Tessman, came in fifth place overall at 4:24.28.
