BOYS’ SWIMMING
Rebels place third in Prep League: James Vandeventer finished third with a mark of 53.72 seconds in the 100-yard freestyle at the Prep League finals on Saturday at Pasadena Poly.
Stephen Leech of Flintridge Prep took third in the 500 freestyle at 5:22.94. Leech, Vandeventer, Garrett Wax and Jacob Steenwyk worked together to take third in the 200 freestyle relay (1:39.15).
GIRLS’ SWIMMING
Rebels take sixth in Prep League: Kristin Brisbois clocked 1 minute 8.87 seconds Saturday to place third in the 100-yard butterfly at the Prep League finals.
BASEBALL
Flintridge Prep 21, Webb 4 (5 innings): Pitcher Ben Slyngstad scattered two hits to lead the Rebels on Friday in a Prep League game at the Glendale Sports Complex.
Will Peterman had two triples and drove in six runs to help the Rebels improve to 11-6 and 5-4 in league.
Kyle McDonald added three hits, including a bases-loaded triple in a game called after five innings because of the 10-run mercy rule.
