It’s time to get out the mallets and set up the wickets in the backyard. You’ll need to practice if you want to beat the Del Guercio adult and adult-child teams in the annual Memorial Weekend Tourney sponsored by the Lanterman Historical Museum Foundation.
Adult doubles and adult and child doubles in both the championship and open brackets will begin Saturday, May 23, at 9 a.m. and continue until 5 p.m. in Memorial Park. The finals in all four brackets will be played Sunday, May 24, beginning at 1 p.m. at Lanterman House.
New this year is a one-shot Peg Out competition for cash prizes. Each entrant will get one shot at the peg from a distance determined by skill and age. Registration includes admission to the Sunday afternoon Awards Reception.
