Metrolink maintenance

One of the two tracks near the Glendale Metrolink/AMTRAK Train Station will be temporarily closed over the weekend as crews install new concrete ties and rails, forcing riders to use the center platform to board normally scheduled trains.

As part of the maintenance work, large trucks will be transporting materials to the Glendale station using Central Avenue and Cerritos and Mira Loma streets.

The project is scheduled to begin at 9 p.m. on Friday and continue through to Monday at 4 a.m.

All trains will operate their normal schedules using the center platform during the project, and detour signage will be posted directing passengers to use the center area near the ticket vending machine to board trains.

Metrolink representatives will be on site to assist riders during the construction.
