The Committee for a Clean and Beautiful Glendale, in conjunction with other neighboring organizations, will host a “Summer Night on the Plaza” from 6 to 9 p.m. at City Hall Perkins Plaza & Atrium, 141 N. Glendale Ave, Glendale. There will be food, entertainment, a silent auction, door prizes and a “My Home Town” photo contest exhibit. Tickets are $15 or $20, or $5 for children ages 5 to 12. Summer Moonlight Movies presents “Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa” (PG), at dusk at Verdugo Park, 1621 Cañada Blvd., Glendale. Seating is on the lawn; beach chairs or blankets are suggested.
