Kropp won the championship heats of the 100-meter breaststroke in 1 minute 15.49 seconds and the 200 and 400 individual medleys in 2:24.71 and 5:04.22, respectively, while also winning championships in three relay events with her club team, Swim Pasadena.
Kropp was part of the winning 800 freestyle relay (8:54.15) and the 200 (2:05.42) and 400 medley (4:30.77) relay teams. She also placed fourth in the championship heat of the 100 butterfly in 1:06.57.
Other past and present Tologs swimmers also competed in 15 & Over events, including 2009 graduate Madeline Talt, senior Briana Swinney and sophomore Emily Carideo.
Talt of Swim Pasadena was third in the 800 freestyle in 9:22.49 and fourth in the 1,500 freestyle in 18:01.17, while also winning the consolation heat of the 400 freestyle in 4:36.28 and placing fourth in the consolation heat of the 400 individual medley. Carideo, also of Swim Pasadena, was fourth in the championship heats of the 400 freestyle in 4:36.92 and the 400 individual medley in 5:18.23 and fifth in the championship heat of the 200 butterfly in 2:27.79. She also was seventh in the consolation heat of the 200 freestyle in 2:13.44.
Swinney, who represented Rose Bowl Aquatics, came in fourth in the championship heat of the 100 backstroke in 1:08.28 and swam in consolation finals of the 50 (third, 28.39) and 100 freestyle (seventh, 1:02.11) and 200 backstroke (third, 2:32.92).
Glendale High senior Katalina Sher competed in a pair of consolation finals for Rose Bowl Aquatics, placing fourth in the 200 butterfly in 2:32.85 and sixth in the 100 butterfly in 1:05.58.
Sher and Swinney comprised half of Rose Bowl Aquatics’ runner-up 200 (1:53.56) and 400 freestyle (4:05.53) relay teams.
On the boys’ side, Crescenta Valley High junior Andrew De Jong of Swim Pasadena finished ninth in the 800 freestyle in 9:06.86 and second in the consolation heat of the 200 butterfly in 2:17.39.
Other locals who participated in preliminary heats were Sacred Heart senior Christina Brandt and Crescenta Valley graduate Michelle Du and junior Jay Hee An.
