The Glendale firefighter sustained third-degree burns on 20% of his body while battling a late night house blaze Aug. 3 is still recovering at the Grossman Burn Center in Sherman Oaks, officials said.
Firefighter Patrick Hambarchian had surgeries Thursday and Monday on his burns, which covered the palms of his hands, fingers, upper back, triceps and one of his legs, fire officials said.
He has gotten skin grafts for his burns and been placed in a hyperbaric oxygen chamber to trigger cell growth, fire officials said.
