Volunteers needed to track walkers
The Los Angeles County Bicycle Coalition and the city of Glendale are seeking volunteers to count walkers and bicyclists in Glendale as part of the PLACE Grant: Safe & Healthy Streets project.
Volunteers are needed from 7 to 9 a.m. and 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday and 10 a.m. to noon Wednesday.
Volunteers are asked to attend an instructional meeting from 7 to 8 p.m. Saturday.

The Glendale Community College ENCORE program, an institute for learning in retirement, has discussion groups. Classes and workshops meet Saturdays, beginning Sept. 5 at the Life Skills Building on campus, 1500 N. Verdugo Road, Glendale. Membership is $50 per year. Call (818) 243-5196.
