Crescenta Valley Little League will conduct its fall baseball program.
There are no residency restrictions to participate. Age divisions are: 7-8 Competitive Tee-Ball, 9-10 Minor Baseball, and 11-12 Major Baseball.
Skills evaluations for individual participation will be Sunday and Aug. 30 at Montrose Park. External teams are also welcome.

2010 GCC Athletic Hall of Fame set
The ninth annual Glendale Community College Athletic Hall of Fame induction ceremony will be held March 6 at the college’s J. Walter Smith Student Center, 1500 N. Verdugo Road, Glendale.
Rene Gonzalez, Karoline Tomicich, Ralph Turner, Ron Palmer and the 1976 men’s cross-country team will be inducted.
Gonzalez played baseball at Glendale college from 1980-81 before moving on to Cal State Los Angeles. He was drafted by the Montreal Expos and played 13 Major League seasons.
Tomicich played women’s tennis in 1999 and 2001, earning All-American honors in singles and doubles.
Turner excelled in track and field, setting the college’s mark in the 200-meter race in 1963, which is a record that still stands today.
Palmer competed on the men’s tennis team and ran track and field in the 1940s before becoming a badminton player in the 1950s while representing the United States in the Thomas Cup.
The 1976 men’s cross-country squad won the Southern California and state championship under Coach Tom McMurray.

Running classes set to be offered
California State University Los Angeles track and field Coach Gretchen Corrales will teach a youth running basic class at the Glendale Sports Complex, 2200 Fern Lane, Glendale.
The 45-minute sessions will begin at 4 p.m. Fridays, Sept. 18 through Nov. 6.
Sessions will focus on the basics of running like a professional athlete and will include stretching, breathing technique, running with obstacles and nutrition.
